THE CAMPBOARD PRIVACY POLICY Effective Date: July 19, 2026 Version: 2026-07-19 1. SCOPE This Privacy Policy explains how The Computer Specialists, LLC, doing business through The CampBoard, collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when people visit TheCampBoard.com, create or manage a campground account, contact us, subscribe to campground guest alerts, or otherwise use The CampBoard services. A campground using The CampBoard may separately determine why and how it uses information about its guests, employees, and other users. Questions about a campground's own privacy practices should be directed to that campground. When The CampBoard processes information for a campground customer, that campground may be the business or controller responsible for the information, and The CampBoard may act as its service provider or processor. 2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT Depending on how you use The CampBoard, we may collect the following categories of information: Account and business information. This may include a name, business email address, password in protected form, campground name, campground location, selected subscription plan, account status, user permissions, and related account records. Customer content. Campground users may provide announcements, events, maps, images, rules, Wi-Fi details, contact information, emergency information, and other content displayed through their CampBoard. Contact and support information. When someone contacts us, we may receive their name, email address, campground name, message, and related correspondence. Website contact form submissions are delivered to our business email system. Billing information. Subscription and payment processing is provided by Stripe. We may receive billing status, customer and subscription identifiers, plan information, transaction status, and limited payment details such as card brand and last four digits. The CampBoard does not receive or store complete payment card numbers through its normal Stripe Checkout workflow. Guest alert information. A guest who voluntarily subscribes to campground alerts provides an email address. We also maintain an unsubscribe token, subscription status, subscription and unsubscribe timestamps, and delivery records such as the alert type, subject, recipient, delivery status, and error information. Terms and authorization records. We may record acceptance of applicable terms, including the accepted document version and hash, acceptance time, email address, selected plan, source, Internet Protocol address, and browser user agent. Device, log, and security information. Our systems and infrastructure providers may process Internet Protocol addresses, request dates and times, requested URLs, referrer information, browser or device information, authentication activity, error logs, security events, and similar operational data. Cookie-free first-party website metrics. The CampBoard maintains aggregate daily counts for selected activities, such as homepage views, signup page views, signup starts, checkout redirects, guest page views, map views, QR code views, and alert subscription activity. These measurements may categorize a campaign source supplied in a URL, an external referring hostname, and a fixed landing-page label. These aggregate metrics do not use advertising cookies and are not designed to create individual browsing profiles. Advertising and measurement information. On designated public marketing pages, and only after the visitor makes an affirmative advertising-cookie choice, The CampBoard may activate the Meta Pixel. Meta may then receive information such as the visited page, page URL, referring page, browser and device information, Internet Protocol address, Meta cookie identifiers, and selected website events such as a page view or completed registration. Meta may use this information under its own terms and privacy policy for advertising delivery, measurement, attribution, security, and related purposes. 3. SOURCES OF INFORMATION We collect information directly from users and campground customers, automatically from browsers and devices, from campground administrators, from payment and service providers, and from advertising links or platforms when a person interacts with a CampBoard advertisement. 4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION We may use information to: Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve The CampBoard. Create and administer accounts, campground pages, subscriptions, permissions, and guest alerts. Process subscription activity and communicate about billing or service status. Deliver requested messages, alerts, account notices, and support. Authenticate users, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect users and the service. Maintain business, accounting, compliance, acceptance, suppression, and delivery records. Measure aggregate service usage and understand campaign performance. Measure and improve advertising only where the required choice or consent has been obtained. Comply with law, enforce agreements, establish or defend legal claims, and protect rights and safety. 5. LEGAL BASES WHERE APPLICABLE Where a law requires a legal basis, we may process personal information as needed to perform a contract, take requested precontractual steps, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service, protect vital interests where applicable, or act with consent. A person may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the applicable basis. 6. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION We may disclose information in the following circumstances: Campground customers. Information associated with a campground may be available to authorized users of that campground. Service providers. We use providers that support hosting, infrastructure, databases, payment processing, email delivery, security, and related operations. These currently include Vultr for infrastructure hosting, Stripe for payment and subscription services, and our transactional email service provider. Meta. If a visitor accepts advertising cookies on a page where the Meta Pixel is enabled, website event and device information may be disclosed to Meta Platforms, Inc. Meta acts under its own applicable terms and privacy policy for its processing. Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, respond to lawful requests, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect rights, property, and safety. Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law. We do not disclose complete payment card numbers because they are processed through Stripe rather than stored by The CampBoard. 7. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES The CampBoard uses necessary browser technologies for functions such as security, session management, form protection, and storing a visitor's privacy choice. Stripe may use cookies when a user visits Stripe-hosted payment pages. Optional advertising technologies, including the Meta Pixel and associated Meta cookies such as _fbp or _fbc, are not intended to activate until a visitor affirmatively accepts advertising cookies. Additional details are provided in The CampBoard Cookie Notice. 8. ADVERTISING CHOICES, SALE, AND SHARING The CampBoard does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as a sale, sharing, or use for targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged. The CampBoard provides a Cookie Settings control through which visitors can reject or withdraw permission for optional advertising technology. Rejecting optional advertising does not prevent use of the core website. Where supported by our consent controls, a recognized Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a request to reject optional advertising technology for that browser. Browser controls, privacy choices, and legal opt-out rights may operate independently. A user may contact us if additional assistance is needed. 9. RETENTION We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts and subscriptions, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations, and maintain appropriate backups. Retention periods vary by the type and purpose of the record. For example, an unsubscribed guest email record and related delivery history may be retained in inactive form to honor the unsubscribe request, prevent unwanted resubscription, investigate delivery issues, and maintain appropriate business records. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to backup and legal requirements. 10. PRIVACY RIGHTS AND REQUESTS Depending on a person's location and applicable law, they may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or information about processing; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain advertising disclosures; or appeal a denied request. Requests may be submitted through https://www.thecampboard.com/contact/ or by emailing hello@thecampboard.com. We may need to verify identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may be required to provide evidence of authority. Some information may be retained or withheld where permitted or required by law. A campground guest may also need to contact the relevant campground when that campground controls the requested information. 11. EMAIL CHOICES Guest alert emails include an unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribing stops future guest alerts for the applicable campground, subject to processing time and messages already in transit. Account holders may still receive nonpromotional messages necessary to operate, secure, bill, or administer their account. 12. SECURITY We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted network connections, account authentication, infrastructure protections, and restricted administrative access. No Internet transmission, system, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. 13. CHILDREN The CampBoard is a business service for campground owners and managers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to create CampBoard business accounts or provide personal information directly to The CampBoard. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information directly to us, they may contact us. Campground guest pages may be viewed by families. Campground customers are responsible for ensuring that their content and information practices are appropriate for their guests. 14. UNITED STATES PROCESSING The CampBoard is operated from the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements. 15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS The CampBoard may link to campground websites, maps, social platforms, Stripe, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy. 16. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, technology, law, or our practices. The current version and effective date will be displayed on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, account interface, or email where appropriate. 17.
